A Winter Exhibition

Some of my table runners and wall hangings will be on exhibit at One The Rise Bakery in Richmond, Vt. for the month of February...such fun to see my work up in a public place!

shirt inspirations

Having sold 41 shirts at the Vermont Handcrafters' show last weekend, I got inspired to make some new models for the upcoming little holiday show in Richmond (and beyond):

Here's the shirt with rice paste still on it, painted with Jacquard textile paints. Colors are slate blue, navy blue, and brown, inspired by colors in Margaret Courtney Clarke's great book "African Canvas"

Colors on this one will be several shades of green and a bit of brown-red - sort of William Morris -like colors.

All green = all boring (usually) -- some reds or reddish tones bring it to life.
